Well, our weekend hasn't gotten much better. As if getting puked all over by Luke on Friday wasn't enough it was Cole's turn to do it last night. He had been complaining about a tummy ache and I really thought he just wanted attention because Luke had been sick so I told him if he was feeling better he could sleep in Mommy and Daddy's bed since Dad was at work. He immediately felt better and we both went to bed early. Well, it didn't last. At about 12:30 in the morning he threw up all over himself, me and the bedding. We immediately climbed in the shower, put on Spiderman for Cole to watch, changed the bedding in the room and sprayed enough air freshener to block out the smell. Oh, what a fun mommy moment that was. Gross!!! So now my two boys have puked in my hair, on my face, and all over everything. I know it is inevitable that Ellee will have her moment. I guess maybe it wasn't the beads that made Luke sick but the actual flu-lovely.
Update on Luke and the his new adventure-the toilet. I really think we spend more time in the bathroom than anywhere else. He apparently needs to pee every 45 minutes because he claims to need to go potty nonstop and I am humoring him-the funny thing is he can actually make himself go every time. He has only had a couple accidents each day, and usually during nap time. He has gone number two in the toilet every time for the last three days. We'll see if it lasts. He thinks it is a fun game right now and doesn't realize that is really what he is supposed to do. He also loves the potty dance. Calculate going "potty" every 45 minutes and you will see how many times we do the potty dance and sing our potty song. He loves it and Ellee loves it. She likes to sit on the toilet, squeak out a nice toot, say "done" and do her potty dance. Fun, Fun, Fun.

Things are starting to move forward for us. We had the walk through with our house, and they've already fixed or adjusted any problems we saw. It had been a couple of weeks since I had seen the house so it was so fun to go see it again. I love the house!!! Now we are waiting on getting the official closing date. It should be sometime this week. Cross your fingers for us!
As far as our family goes we are all doing well. Luke was really sick on Friday night throwing up a total of 10 times. We thought he might have food poisoning but the rest of us were fine and we all ate the same thing, so not likely. When I went to clean up his bed and toys I found about 30 little beads in their room and on their bed. They were from Ellee's baby that broke the day before. We think Luke ate some of the beads and his body was trying to flush them out of his system. The good news from all of this is that he had no problem telling us when he needed to go potty because he could tell it was coming. He only had one dirty diaper (during naptime) all day-so bonus for us. He seems to have mastered how to use the potty, we'll have to see if he can continue to tell us when to go. Ellee had a really hard time with the whole sick time for Luke. She was sooooo jealous and didn't understand that Mommy needed to help Luke. It was so sad! Cole on the other hand was such a good helper; he got diapers when I needed them, ran and got wet wipes or paper towels to help clean up, and even helped get milk for Ellee. Plus he thought it was pretty cool that we watched movies all night long and that Mommy slept in the kids room to help.
Damon hasn't had a very good few days off. He usually enjoys his days off but with sick kids and training on two of his four days off it wasn't much of a break. I am glad I am off on Monday so he won't have to stay up with the kids when he gets home.

Yay! Thanks to Teresa I have now made our blog a little bit cuter. We have some exciting news. With the huge drop in interest rates we are able to get into the townhome we want. We didn't think it would work until rates dropped low enough to get us comfortable with a new mortgage payment. It really hasn't been bad living with the in-laws but I will really enjoy being in our own home. We will really appreciate the different rooms for the kids-so now naptime will be naptime, not playtime without Mom or Dad in the room. Hopefully all goes well. We are supposed to have our walk through next week and closing a few days after that.

Hey-I figured out how to put picturers on the blog-it is starting to come together. (maybe-we'll see)

Christmas Morning

As you can see, we haven't quite figured this thing out. We are working on it though. Well, lots of updates for the last couple of weeks. Last week we moved out of our home in Riverton and moved in with Damon's dad and stepmom. We are trying to save up enough money to have a nice down payment on a home and this will be a good stepping stone to having enough money down. We are living in the basement here-all three kids are in the same room-which they absolutely love (mom and dad not so much-especially at nap time or lack therof). It is cozy but we still have plenty of room.

Updates on our family-Damon has transferred back to Matheson court house working a graveyard shift. He works from 6:00pm until 6:00am 3 to 4 days a week. His days off are nice-but the days on are hard for all of us. Damon literally gets 3-4 hours of sleep on those days because he watches the kids while I am at work. It is so hard to watch how hard he is working and know that my hands are tied because I can't just not show up for work. Luckily, the teaching gig is a good one and I am usually home between 2:30 and 3:00 to help out.

The kids are all good. Our Christmas was nice. It was so fun to watch them walk down on Christmas morning to find all the presents under the tree. Santa brought Cole a whole bunch of Transformers and car tracks for all of his hot wheels. Luke got a car garage and loves rolling the cars, balls, babies, animals and anything else that will fit down the ramp or up and down in the elevator. Ellee got a baby doll and stroller from Santa-and that did it. She immediately put her baby in the stroller and started pushing baby around. She would not open a single other present. Cole and Luke finished opening her presents for her.

I am doing well. I hate going back to work after having a nice break-plus knowing we had to move the weekend I went back made it all that much more difficult.

All in all-our family is good!
