Cole lost his first tooth!

We are so excited at our house. Cole lost his first tooth tonight! He's been playing with it for so long we were wondering if it would ever fall out! After we brushed his teeth at bedtime he told me that he thought it was time for the tooth to come out. So I flossed it for him and could tell it was really close. He played with it for awhile and then it started bleeding and he told me he needed to get a washcloth so he could pull it out. He gave a couple half-hearted yanks on it and then immediately ran to our magnifying mirror so he could get a better look. After he looked at it he said "Whoa-it's really loose!" He then gave one really good yank and yelled "I got it!" He was so excited. It took a good half hour to calm him down enough to convince him that it was time to go to sleep. He has a bunk bed and was really concerned that the tooth fairy wouldn't be able to find the tooth since he was up high so he decided that we should put the tooth in a baggy and tape it to the bed next to his head. He also informed us that the tooth fairy only brings gold dollars--good to know! Yay for Cole!!! Do I really have a child old enough to be losing teeth? I love his toothless grin!!!

How is that possible that Cole big enough to have the tooth fairy pay him a visit. I can't get over it! That is fun that he had the gusto to pull it out himself. Such a fun time in childhood. Say what is the exchange rate for teeth these days?

I love that proud face. I wish he would've lost it when we were staying with you. He is such a fun little guy!
